Skyview at Bridgeport
Dean Dragon LNHA, MBA, Administrator
I want to thank all the well-wishers I have been blessed to meet, residents, employees and community members. A special thanks to The Republican Newspaper which did a thorough job of reviewing my education, time in healthcare and places where my family and career has taken me. Allow me to summarize, I started off as a medic in the service. That led me to become a Respiratory Therapy major at Creighton University where I found a fondness for management which has provided me a great career spanning more than two decades.
My Wife Terri and I are to celebrate 32 years of love and commitment to each other this July. We have two daughters, both are in college living in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This was one of the primary reasons for us to choose Imperial, for us to be close to our girls.
For fun I like to travel and see different places, go Charter Fishing on the open oceans and improve healthcare delivery using evidence based research. Terri and I also like the outdoors and our favorite place to visit is Yellowstone National Park.
Here is something I find inspiring which is off of the Second Hand Lions movie. It is called the speech that every boy needs to know about becoming a man. Of course, it applies to all of us regardless of gender.
” Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good. That honour, courage and virtue mean everything ; that power and money … money and power mean nothing. That good always triumphs over evil. And I want you to remember this…. that love….true love never dies ! Remember that! Doesn’t matter if it is true or not, a man should believe in those things , because those are the things worth believing in.

Ground work began May, 1963 for the Goscor Nursing Home in Bridgeport. It became a Vetter’s Health Services facility in the mid-seventies and just this July 2013 was purchased by the City of Bridgeport, renamed Skyview at Bridgeport and is now under management by Rural Health Development.
The 40 Medicare/Medicaid Licensed bed facility sits on the corner of 5th and O Street in Bridgeport Nebraska. The facility has seen many changes, upgrades and remodels through the years including the installation of a Fire Sprinkler System this July 2013.
Private and companion rooms are available. Quality dining, activities, housekeeping and laundry services are offered every day. Skyview offers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy on site. Podiatry services are also offered on site.
Skyview is dedicated to the individual needs of each resident that makes our facility their home. Our residents enjoy many hours in the Garden Patio which is so beautiful with its waterfall fish pond and many gorgeous flowers and tomato plants. We invite you to visit us and see our beautiful facility.
