The Bertrand Nursing Home and Assisted Living opened in 1973,
and has continued to be a thriving
home for the Village of Bertrand and its
surrounding area. The Assisted Living
wing was added in 2001 and has been
yet another great addition to our family
here in Bertrand. We offer many different
services, keep busy with a variety
of activities, and always enjoy getting
together on holidays.
We have 26 licensed beds in our skilled nursing facility and 16 in the assisted living. We offer inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Hospice, respite care, meals on wheels, and adult day services are also offered. Our residents enjoy a wide variety of activities throughout the year; such as picnics out on the front yard during the summer, fishing trips and the Bertrand Days Rodeo. Every week they have bingo and there is a group that comes in from the community and plays cards in the evening. During the holidays we like to be surrounded by our family and friends. Every year we hold an Easter Egg Hunt for the community and surrounding areas. On Halloween our residents love to hand out candy to all the little kids who trick-o-treat in their costumes. Thanksgiving we cook a big meal for our residents and their families. Christmas is full of sweet treats and presents from Santa. We strive for togetherness and with having such a close family oriented community and staff it truly makes the Bertrand Nursing Home and Assisted Living feel like home. Hearts and Hands that Care.
